The media and coaches polls are out and things are kind of:
- In the media poll, Syracuse took home 19 first-place votes -- a four-vote increase over last week -- while North Carolina (five) picked up the remaining top tallies. New to the poll this week are Brown and Holy Cross while Pennsylvania and Colgate fell out of the top 20.
- In the coaches poll, Syracuse earned 11 first-place votes while North Carolina was placed at the top of one ballot. New to the poll this week Holy Cross while Colgate exited the top 20.
Below is an aggregation of both the coaches and media polls. I'm holding off on featuring computer-type rankings until next week.
In the media poll, Stony Brook, Boston University, Navy, Colgate, Bucknell, and Pennsylvania -- in that order -- also received votes. In the coaches poll, Stony Brook, Ohio State, Georgetown, Marist, Colgate, Boston University, and Pennsylvania -- in that order -- also received votes.
