Here are your highlights for today:
- Robert Morris at Jacksonville: As Wednesday afternoon games go, Colonials-Dolphins isn't too bad. The teams' records aren't eye-popping -- Jacksonville is 2-2 and Robert Morris is 1-4 -- and while the game doesn't carry national implications, there are interesting aspects to the matchup: The Dolphins are the favorite but probably aren't going into this thing with more than a two-goal advantage over Bobby Mo; Robert Morris is looking to get another win in its bag before starting Northeast Conference play against Sacred Heart next weekend; Jacksonville is looking to ensure at least a .500 record in nonconference competition with a win over the Colonials; and it's a Northeast Conference-Southern Conference war (one of two on the day), an opportunity for a league to show strength against a peer conference. This is worth a late lunch watch.
- Richmond at Mount St. Mary's: The two teams have one common opponent this season: VMI. The Mount opened their 2015 season with an 11-8 victory over the Keydets in Lexington; the Spiders committed a crime against VMI in a 20-1 demolition of the Keydets in Richmond last weekend. These facts mean one thing: The Mountaineers hate VMI and Richmond really hates VMI.
Here's Wednesday's full schedule. Please let me know if there are errors. I'll fix/populate links to live stats and video as the day progresses (if necessary).
