Here are your highlights for today:
- Cornell v. Hobart: When the Statesmen released their 2015 schedule in October, this is what I wrote about the team's date against Cornell: "There will be feet of snow in Geneva. This game has #SPRINGSPORT written all over it. Anything that happens outside in February in the Finger Lakes Region/Central New York should be postponed until July, when it will finally be canceled due to mosquitoes. Fans will huddle over a pot of salt potatoes for warmth and wonder whether it's possible to settle the rivalry through a day-long ice fishing contest." Tomorrow's forecast in Geneva? "Snow, mainly after noon. High near 26*. Wind chill values as low as -8*. South wind 11 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches." This is why Cornell-Hobart -- one of the oldest rivalries in college lacrosse -- has been rescheduled to today in an indoor facility in Binghamton. Good times.
- NJIT at Stony Brook: The Highlanders will officially be a thing today! NJIT will meet its genesis as a Division I program on the north shore of Long Island this afternoon, likely freezing their keisters off in the brutal cold. Any result other than a strong Seawolves victory would be surprising given NJIT's ramp-up time to compete at college lacrosse's highest level, but anything can happen when you can't feel body parts.
Here's Friday's full schedule. Please let me know if there are errors. I'll fix/populate links to live stats and video as the day progresses (if necessary).

This is your open thread for Friday. Think about this: A restaurant that only serves different kinds of string cheese. People will be around to yak about whatever is tickling their fancy.
