STORIES

Quint's Top 20: Michigan, Marquette, Richmond All in Top 20
I saw tremendous mental and physical toughness on display last weekend. I’m not talking about the players — but from the diehard fans and school support staffs who readied the facilities for action. Freezing temperatures, wind and snow blanketed the northeast, yet lacrosse fans bundled up, and cheered until frost bite rendered their hands useless. Hopefully you're thawed out now, sitting by the fire, warming up for another nasty week of arctic weather. Dress smart (focus on head, hands and feet while using a first layer of Nike Hyper-warm apparel) and watch the ice; spring is only another month away.

Photos, Analysis: No. 7 Loyola 8, Penn State 6
Loyola topped Penn State 8-6 in a defensive slugfest that featured 22 saves. That 61% stopping rate wouldn't have been a huge surprise if Jack Runkel and Austin Kaut were in cage; it's a little more noteworthy given the guys manning each crease are Pat McEnerney and Connor Darcey, who'd combined for two career starts prior to Saturday.
