College Lacrosse Schedule for March 28, 2014

There are two games tonight, people.

Your Russian dashboard cam animated .gif/video of the day:

That's, uh, kind of perfect. Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

Anyway, there are two games today. Here are your highlights:

  • Stony Brook at UMBC: The Seawolves are the only team in the nation to have alternated wins and losses this season. That's . . . something. The team's 4-5 record -- punctuated by the fact that the team hasn't won or lost two in a row in 2014 -- is even odder when you consider that the Seawolves have scored as many goals (106) as the team has allowed (106). Stony Brook is the timepiece to college lacrosse, even if the team has struggled to find their defensive identity this season. The universe demands a Seawolves victory tonight -- the team is coming off a 11-13 setback to St. John's -- lest the world spin into nothingness.
  • Mercer at Lafayette: A win tonight for the Bears gets Mercer one win closer to the team's first non-losing season in its short history. That may sound like shooting for the middle, but given where Mercer started and the seasons the team has endured since beginning its Division I adventure in 2011, getting to .500 -- only six wins necessary! -- would be a monumental achievement in 2014 (even if the team's wins are soft). The Bears are pretty heavy favorites tonight in Easton and could pivot toward picking up that final decisive victory against Furman in mid-April.

Here's today's full schedule with links to things so that you can monitor the carnage:
