The Marist men�s lacrosse team had its most successful season in nearly a decade, finishing the 2013 with a 10-4 record. The Red Foxes registered the most wins by a Marist team since the 2004 season and went 5-1 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) place, winning a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship. Unfortunately, Marist�s season came to a premature conclusion on May 3 as the Red Foxes fell to Detroit 7-6 in the MAAC semifinals.

I mentioned this on Twitter yesterday, but Nike Blue Chip, for as a solid as a camp as it continues to be, always falls on the what has to be the hottest, most humid week of Baltimore's summertime. There isn't even a particularly strong sun beating down on the coaches. It's just a swampy 94 degrees, and hiding in the UMBC Stadium pressbox, with its ceiling fans and window AC, couldn't keep the oppressiveness at bay.
