I may as well address this:
Let's be clear: I'm not proud of what I just picked out of my nose, but I am impressed.

I wouldn't call myself a prodigious nose-picker, but sometimes you run into a situation where Kleenex just isn't doing the job. You blow and blow and blow and that wad clings to your nostril like a child grasping a mother's leg on the first day of kindergarten, refusing to learn finger painting because, presumably, it's not as fun as pooping all day and begging their parents for things. The only option in these situations is to get up in there, fingernail as your pickaxe, and give your head sweet relief by liberating that booger from its former home (to be, of course, flicked onto somebody's something). Doing so is disgusting and gross and poor form, but I enjoy breathing far too much to deal with a chunk of mucus in my skull.
For the record: This particular boogie was mostly electric green with shades of brown.
Anyway, there are three games today, with action starting late this afternoon and extending into business time tonight. Here is your highlight for the day:
- Brown and North Carolina: I'm not sure how I feel about this one. On one hand it could be Brown's introduction to the nation -- "Hi! We're Bruno! We're potentially a death machine but don't judge us solely on that. (But if you want to judge us on the uniforms, then please judge us on being a potential death machine.)" On the other hand, North Carolina is hotter than a two-dollar pistol this point after knocking off previously unbeaten Maryland in Byrd Stadium. I'm still skeptical about the Bears at this point -- they look like mercenaries in adjusted tempo-free metrics, but their only solid competition this season has been an uneven Massachusetts team -- and tonight is an important moment for determining whether Bruno earns dead-to-me status or further complicates the lacrosse universe as a dangerous team with elite aspirations. ESPNU has the telecast, and if that doesn't work for you, you can get the game on your computing machine via WatchESPN or ESPN3.com.
Here's today's full schedule with links to things so that you can monitor the carnage (Wagner, unfortunately, is not in action because spring break isn't going to be forgotten on its own):
