By all accounts Edward Taylor Coombs was a special young man. The Hatboro-Horsham player had the kind of magnetic character that made people smile, and he was blossoming as a lacrosse player. Marist coach Keegan Wilkinson knew him well, too. He recruited Coombs to Marist, but never got a chance to coach him.

Lacrosse at Buffalo's Ralph Wilson Stadium?
The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has submitted a number of bids to host several high-profile NCAA events, including the Division I men's lacrosse quarterfinals at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y., home of the NFL's Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Business First has reported.

San Francisco Classic: UVa-Princeton Takeaways
On a sunny fall day in San Francisco, Princeton and Virginia delighted a Bay Area crowd thirsty for Division I lacrosse. The day began at 11 a.m., when players from both school conducted a clinic for Bay Area youth lacrosse players. Run by All West Lacrosse (founded by Duke alum Matt Ogelsby), the players from Princeton and UVa served as great ambassadors for both the game of lacrosse and their respective schools.

Denver Battles Team Canada in Fall Scrimmage
The University of Denver men’s lacrosse team took on Team Canada’s Red and White squads in a fall ball scrimmage on Saturday evening at the Demske Sports Complex at Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. The Pioneers took on Team Red first, falling 14-10, before taking on Team White to close out the day, falling 22-6.

SU Varsity Tops Alumni All-Stars, 13-10
The Syracuse Varsity scored six straight goals in the second half to break open a tight game and defeat the Alumni All-Stars 13-10 in the fourth-annual Orange Alumni Lacrosse Classic Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Carrier Dome. Kevin Rice and Dylan Donahue each had three goals to lead the current team to its fourth straight win in the yearly event.
