Fighting Irish Selected As Favorite To Win BIG EAST Title
With five first-place votes, the University of Notre Dame was selected as the favorite to win the 2013 BIG EAST men's lacrosse championship in a poll by the league's seven head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own programs. Fighting Irish senior goalie John Kemp was tapped as the league's preseason co-defensive player of the year.

Big Things Expected for BIG EAST Favorites
After reaching the NCAA semifinals in 2012, the Notre Dame men's lacrosse team once again has high expectations as it prepares for the 2013 season. On Tuesday, the Fighting Irish were selected as the preseason favorite to win the BIG EAST conference.

Three Hoyas Named to All-BIG EAST Preseason Men's Lacrosse Team
Senior attackman Brian Casey (Bethesda, Md./Georgetown Prep), senior midfielder Dan McKinney (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) and senior defender Chris Nourse (Erieville, N.Y./The Hotchkiss School) have all been selected to the All-BIG EAST Preseason Men's Lacrosse Team when conference honors were announced on Tuesday morning. The Hoyas were also selected to finish fifth in the preseason poll by the league's seven head coaches.

Men's Lacrosse Season and Individual Tickets Now On Sale
Drexel Athletics is offering two different season ticket packages for men's lacrosse games again this season. The basic season package includes tickets for all eight games and costs only $30, a savings of $34. The VIP season package includes tickets for all eight games, a reserved parking space and a Dragons portable chairback seat for only $50. The chairback will be stored at Vidas Field and is available for "weather permitting" games.
