Buckley Named Patriot League Male Scholar-Athlete Of The Year
Junior lacrosse player Brendan Buckley has been named the 2011-12 Patriot League Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, it was announced Thursday afternoon. This honor comes on the heels of Buckley being named a first team Capital One Academic All-America selection and the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year earlier this spring.

Title IX Legislation Marked 40th Anniversary on June 23rd
Title IX is controversial and more complex than most realize. To many it represents what was a long overdue effort to establish gender equity, while others view it as creating an unequal playing field for men. What is indisputable is that the law's effects have been far-reaching.

I never know when I write something if it will resonate with others or not. My last blog, "The College Lacrosse Recruiting System Is Broken," certainly struck a chord with a number of readers, though. I received many emails, Facebook comments and Tweets replying back to the subject at hand. I think this matter simply rang true for a lot of individuals and families within our game.
