What started in the late 70s when a couple of Canadians helped Cornell win national championships has now become a desirous trend across the lacrosse world as NCAA teams clamor to bring in talent from North of the border. When Gary and Paul Gait electrified the Carrier Dome in Syracuse about 10 years later, the flamboyant, creative, and highly productive potential of Canadian stars was unleashed on a U.S. audience. Taking the skills they developed in the box game, Canadians became offensive juggernauts in the NCAA, routinely amongst the top scorers in the nation, showcasing inventive moves and a pentiant for finishing in tight spaces. Now, every coach wants a Canadian attackman.

Drexel Player in Critical Condition After Accident
Brendan Glynn, a senior attackman for the Drexel men's lacrosse team, remained in critical condition Wednesday at a Philadelphia hospital after being struck by a car Sunday morning, according to PhillyLacrosse.com. The accident occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of 36th Street and Chestnut Street.

Peet Poillon, who has starred as a player at both the collegiate and professional levels and has coached successfully in the high school ranks, has joined the University of Delaware men’s lacrosse coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach.
