It's Memorial Monday, people. Look alive out there.
This is it, the 2011 NCAA Division I men's lacrosse championship. With around 1,000 games in the books, the season comes down to Virginia and Maryland throwing hands to decide who gets a fancy gold trophy at the end of the afternoon.
The Cavaliers are chasing down their fifth overall title, a third in under a decade. Maryland is looking its third overall championship, its first since just about forever.
The familiarity between these two teams aside -- it's the second meeting of the year between the two ACC clubs -- the game has a real feel of anticipation to it: Virginia and its high octane offense taking it against Maryland's offensive and defensive pragmatism. This should be a hell of a final regardless of how you cut it.
