The Big City Classic is obviously the marquee event of the weekend, but none of the tilts taking place at New Meadowlands Stadium actually rate as the marquee game with reference to the "Fun Factors." That honor belongs to Maryland-Virginia, with each team attempting to right the ship after tough losses just seven days earlier.
Army-Colgate and Dartmouth-Cornell are sneaky good games, the first of those contests featuring two of the better offensive players in the country in Jeremy Boltus and Peter Baum. Plus, it's a Patriot League special, which is more fun than naked night at the naked house.
With respect to those that just missed the cut:
- Hofstra at Towson: 4.0898 (6th). Important CAA game for the Pride to try and pave some road in the league.
- Loyola at Ohio State: 4.0037 (7th). I don't have much interest in this one. Sorry, bros and broettes.
Let's go ahead and rank 'em for Saturday and Sunday:
|4||APRIL 2||1:00||Villanova||Notre Dame||4.5066|
|22||APRIL 2||12:00||Air Force||Mercer||0.6808|
|2||APRIL 3||4:00||North Carolina||Johns Hopkins||5.1823|
|3||APRIL 3||1:00||St. John's||Rutgers||2.4662|
