What to think of this 2011 Maryland Team

They may be 3-1.  They may average 14 goals a game.  They may have three players with 10 points or more on the season, but the #8 Maryland Terrapins havent convinced me yet in 2011.

After absoluetely crushing Georgetown two weekends ago by the score of 20-8 I asked the question if this was a very good Maryland team or a bad Georgetown team. I think we are starting to see that the 2011 Georgetown team is anything special yet again.

That being said, Maryland came back the next week (this past weekend) and lost to Duke in 9-8 in overtime, a game in which the 'Terps got no goals from their attack unit.

The Terps will live and die by their attack in '11.  Grant Cattalino, Ryan Young and Travis Reed will carry the team and when the three click its scary to watch the unit.  In last nights win over Bellarmine, we saw the unit click as the trio combined for seven goals and 11 points,

We know the potential is there.  It has been there since this group has been freshmen.  But we all have been waiting for the group to put it all together and finally show the country what they can do. We need to see better consistency out of the trio if we can take Maryland for real in 2011.

With Towson, UMBC and St. Josephs next up in the schedule, the Terps should be 6-1 by the time they face-off with ACC rival's UNC and Virginia in back to back weeks.

If the team that beat Georgetown shows up in the next coming weeks, the Terps can play with any team in the country.  We just need to see if this attack unit can play with their full potential for a full 48 minutes.
