For just $30, fans of the NHL and college lacrosse can be part of a special offer hosted by the Hofstra Pride men's lacrosse team and the New York Islanders.
On Feburary 8th, the two fastest sports will be on display at the Nassau Coliseum, as Hofstra coaches Seth Tierney and Joe Amplo will host a clinic starting at 5:30 p.m. After the clinic, the Islanders will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The clinic will be led by Tierney and Amplo and should be exciting for fans of all ages. Players from the Pride will put on a skills demonstration and the event on the 8th will conclude with a "motivational" speech from the coaches on the game of lacrosse.
Then, included in that $30 is tickets to the February 28th matchup between Hofstra and the Princeton Tigers on the campus of Hofstra University, located just across the street from the Nassau Coliseum.
Groups who attend the event and bring 50 or more people will be entered into a raffle the night of the game for a chance to sit in a luxury suite at the Coliseum.
One player who is accustomed to playing in NHL type arena's is Hofstra's Jamie Lincoln, a native of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Lincoln plays indoor box lacrosse in the off-season and it will be fun to watch some of his "skills" be put into action.
