The initial Tewaaraton Watch List was released last night.

The Tewaaraton Foundation has announced the 2020 Tewaaraton Award men’s and women’s watch lists. The lists include the top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for the Tewaaraton Award. 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the Award.

From US Lacrosse Magazine: Jack Brennan finds solace in Maryland lacrosse family.

“He grew up playing lacrosse,” Brennan said of his uncle, Robert Knapp, who played lacrosse at Irondequoit High School and SUNY Potsdam. “When I was growing up, I know a big hope of his was for me to play. My brother was a baseball player, so I was one of the last boys to get the chance.”

From the Daily Orange: Griffin Cook’s creativity gives Orange offense potency at 3rd attack spot.

Positioned at the X, Cook’s a “quarterback” of No. 5 Syracuse’s (1-0) offense, former SU player and Cook’s youth lacrosse coach Gavin MacLachlan said. “I was kind of a little bit out of position last year playing above the net,” Cook said, “so it’s good to finally get back behind.”

The men’s lacrosse team is in their second season competing at the Division I level, and they saw a lot of success during their inaugural 2019 season.

I might have to cop one of these: UMBC with the word’s first poster that turns into a wearable helmet.
