No one, least of all a young Cathy Nelson, could have foreseen the future Cathy Nelson Reese accomplishing so much in the game of lacrosse as a player and coach that, at age 42, she would be selected for the sport’s highest honor. But looking back, in some cases way back, those who have long known the current and hugely successful face of Maryland women’s lacrosse saw qualities in Reese that define a winner, exceptional leader and ultimately a National Lacrosse Hall of Famer.
In 13 seasons as the coach at her alma mater, Cathy Reese has led @MarylandWLax to a 272-22 record and ✋ #NCAAWLAX titles.

Coach Tierney talks about Hofstra lacrosse’s first day of practice.
North Carolina got up early today for their September 11th Memorial Run.
The Virginia men’s lacrosse team will unofficially begin its national title defense against two national teams in October as part of the Team USA Fall Classic. Virginia will travel to US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland, on Oct. 19 as part of three days worth of games, which will kick off on the same field the day before with Team USA’s men and women facing Canada.

Wawa’s future looks bright: Wawa to install solar panels at 93 stores across New Jersey.
Wawa flipped a symbolic switch on a small solar farm Tuesday that will supply all the electricity to an adjacent store in Pemberton, Burlington County — one of 93 solar installations the company will complete with SolareAmerica in New Jersey by the end of 2020.
World/National News
New York and the nation on Wednesday will stop to remember the 18th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks. The 9/11 Memorial & Museum will be the site for the annual name-reading ceremony, starting at approximately 8:39 a.m. and continuing until approximately 12:30 p.m.
