BOSS Desko spoke to the media after his team’s big win over the Blue Devils.
Check out Chris’ post for Troy Nunes after the Duke game.
They did it again. They did it yet again. Whether it’s coming back from a slow start or edging an ACC rival by one for the third straight year, the Syracuse Orange keep waking up at the right time. And for the third straight year, ‘Cuse defeated the Duke Blue Devils by one goal, with this year’s result coming in overtime by a score of 9-8 at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. This time around, Brendan Curry delivered the game-winner. Duke came out of the gates hot in the first five minutes, taking a 3-0 lead. After goals by Nate Solomon and Jamie Trimboli, the Blue Devils went on another 3-0 run to lead 6-2 at halftime. The third quarter was quiet outside of a Trimboli man-up goal from Curry.

Brown will play Villanova today at 3:00 today. You can find the ESPN+ stream here and you find the Live Stats for the game here.
Here’s a good post on Brown’s Chris Kiernan.
From freshman walk-on to senior captain, Chris Kiernan is a crucial centerpiece to the Lehigh men’s lacrosse team. Although the goaltender doesn’t collect many game-time minutes, he is described by his teammates and coaches as a well-respected player. Junior attack Ryan Klose said Kiernan acts as a role model to the entire team. “Chris (Kiernan) contributes to the team constantly,” Klose said. “He is a constant positive voice during practice and one of the hardest workers.”
How many group push-ups can you and your boys do?
With the dinner rush over, Juan Gaytan slid into an empty booth at the little pizzeria off Main Street and, while he waited, started drawing lacrosse plays on the plastic tabletop with his fingers. An O charged past a defending X, and in the coach’s imagination, scored a goal into the basket of condiments between the parmesan cheese and the red pepper flakes. “Yahoo,” the 40-year-old declared with the sliver of a Texas accent that remains after his 25 years in Utah. “That’s how you do it.
Jacob Geddie, 18, taking his break at the restaurant, grabbed a chair across from Gaytan and his mom just as his coach cheered the pretend victory. They’ve been meeting here almost every Tuesday night. Ever since two members of this northern Utah town’s high school lacrosse team died by suicide and Geddie had briefly planned to become the third.
Nice hype video for Quinnipiac after their 5th straight win.
What’s Up, PhilaJersey?
This New Jersey high school staged Alien: The Play and it was brilliant.
As if you didn’t feel enough pressure to make this year’s production of Our Town the best play New Jersey has ever seen. Images of North Bergen High School’s Alien: the Play hit the internet this weekend like a reverse chestburster, and Entertainment Weekly got in touch with the school’s drama teacher to find out more about the truly iconic production, based on Ridley Scott’s 1979 sci-fi classic Alien. The show even has it’s own trailer, though we’re sad to say you just missed its two-day bi-weekend run.
World/National News
The legend of Rob Gronkowski grew by leaps and bounds over the course of his nine NFL seasons. From his utter dominance and record-setting performances on the gridiron to his fun-loving persona off it, the NFL will never be the same because of the man we call Gronk.
On Sunday, Gronkowski’s journey in the NFL came to a close.
The Patriots All-Pro, future Hall-of-Fame tight end announced his retirement from the game of football. Gronkowski, 29, made the announcement via his Instagram account in a long post thanking the Patriots and his fans. Gronk exits the NFL having won three Super Bowl championships with the Patriots while redefining the tight end position.
