The Stony Brook Seawolves are the 50th team in our 2020 men’s college lacrosse schedule preview series and the fifth team from the America East. Stony Brook finished 9-6 overall in 2019 and 5-1 in America East play. The Seawolves were the America East regular season champions, but fell to UMBC in the America East semifinals. They also hired former Towson assistant Anthony Gilardi as their new head coach in the summer.
Lafayette’s 2020 schedule is now up.
Head coach Patrick Myers announced the 2020 Lafayette men’s lacrosse schedule on Wednesday afternoon, featuring six tilts at Fisher Stadium.
The 2020 slate features four NCAA Tournament participants from a season ago, with three of those coming to College Hill in Georgetown, Loyola and Army. Rutgers, Lehigh and Navy round out the home slate, while featured road trips include a clash with 2019 final-four contender Penn State and a Valentine’s Day weekend contest at North Carolina.

The Lafayette Leopards are the 49th team in our 2020 men’s college lacrosse schedule preview series and the sixth team from the Patriot League. Lafayette finished 4-11 overall in 2019 and 0-8 in Patriot League play. The Leopards failed to qualify for the Patriot League Tournament.

The Robert Morris Colonials are the 48th team in our 2020 men’s college lacrosse schedule preview series and the seventh team from the NEC. Robert Morris finished 9-8 overall in 2019 and 4-2 in NEC play. The Colonials defeated Hobart for their second straight NEC Championship but lost to Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

With fall ball now behind them, the Rutgers men’s lacrosse team is now less than three months away from the start of its 2020 season. Despite losing several key starters (most notably goalkeeper Max Edelmann and defender Kyle Pless), the Scarlet Knights still look to ride a high-powered offense and contend in a loaded Big Ten.

Dan Leventhal, founder and president, of Bronx Lacrosse attended Community Board 4 meeting on Tuesday, November 26 and shared with board members what a success his program has been on the two middle schools he’s worked with for the past two years. Players in his program have 96 percent attendance rating and a hundred percent graduation rating among his eighth grade players, he shared.

All roads lead to NJ: Kansas City Chiefs get gear after it’s mistakenly sent to New Jersey.
An equipment container containing some of the Kansas City Chiefs’ shoulder pads, helmets and footballs has arrived in Foxborough, Massachusetts, after it was mistakenly sent to Newark, New Jersey, a team spokesman said Sunday.
