The University of Detroit Mercy men’s lacrosse team will get to enjoy playing in front of its home crowd as the Titans are set to play nine home contests as the 2020 schedule was officially released today.
Seven of the nine home games will take place on Titan Field - including the first home night game in school history against Robert Morris in March - while the other two will be indoors at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac.

The Detroit Mercy Titans are the 40th team in our 2020 men’s college lacrosse schedule preview series and the third team from the MAAC. Detroit Mercy finished 8-7 overall in 2019 and 5-2 in MAAC play. The Titans fell to Quinnipiac in the MAAC semifinals.

University at Albany football coach Greg Gattuso was standing on the sideline before Saturday’s NCAA playoff game when a member of the chain gang greeted him. “I just kind of went, hey, how are you doing,’’ Gattuso said. “I was getting ready for the game, and then I thought, he looks really familiar.”

Before Penn State’s game against Rutgers Saturday, tight end Pat Freiermuth helped former lacrosse player John Von Nessen propose to his then-girlfriend and now-fiancée Lauren Piotrowski, also a Penn State alum.

Walt Disney Animation’s all-audience tentpole Frozen 2 led the bounty with a record-shattering $123.7 million for the Wednesday-Sunday stretch, easily besting the $109.9 million grossed by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire during the same corridor in 2013.
