GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, College Crosse Nation! Thanks for making us a part of your day! Here’s everything you need to know for November 26, 2019.

College Crosse News

No press release yet, but UNC’s 2020 schedule is now up.

Check out Chris’ breakdown of Carolina’s schedule here.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are the 38th team in our 2020 men’s college lacrosse schedule preview series and the first team from the ACC. North Carolina finished 8-7 overall in 2019 and 1-3 in ACC play. The Tar Heels did beat Syracuse in the opening round of the ACC Tournament, but were unable to upend Virginia in the semifinals. They did not qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

The Loyola Greyhounds also joined the fun and released their 2020 schedule.

Loyola University Maryland men’s lacrosse will play a 14-game regular-season schedule in 2020 that includes eight home games and 10 overall contests against teams ranked during the 2019 season. Five of the Greyhounds’ first eight contests will come against teams that reached the NCAA Championships last year with home games against Johns Hopkins, Towson, Duke and Army West Point among those games.

Make sure you read Chris’ breakdown of Loyola’s schedule.

The Loyola Greyhounds are the 39th team in our 2020 men’s college lacrosse schedule preview series and the fifth team from the Patriot League. Loyola finished 12-5 overall in 2019 and 7-1 in Patriot League play. The Greyhounds defeated Syracuse in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but fell to Penn State in the quarterfinals.

Blessed: Notre Dame’s senior Tommy McNamara chases down someone who stole a purse at a campus restaurant, offers teenager his phone number to provide mentorship, and then gets blessed by a priest.

Notre Dame senior Tommy McNamara was having lunch with a friend at The General restaurant in South Bend on Friday. While he was eating, he said he noticed another young man moving suspiciously about the establishment. “I kind of noticed this kid who had his hoodie on, kind of walking around the place. Little bit of strange activity,” he said.

Baby BALLER on the way! Congrats to Maryland trainer Anthony Benyarko and his wife Marinel!

From US Lacrosse Magazine: The President’s Cup was a huge success.

The momentum and team dynamic from last month’s Team USA Fall Classic, held at US Lacrosse headquarters, was apparent as the U.S. women’s national team wrapped up its two games Saturday victorious.

Paul Bissonnette had a tough time in his first NLL practice.

This won’t help grow the game: Atlanta police arrest two female college lacrosse players in connection with an alleged home invasion.

Two players on Life University’s women’s lacrosse team were among three suspects arrested after a violent home invasion in southwest Atlanta earlier this month, authorities said.

What’s Up, New PhilaJersey?

Trenton ups its war with the crows with lasers & pyrotechnics.

Trenton’s multi-year war on crows is far from over, but on a recent Tuesday night, a federal employee tasked with keeping tens of thousands of the cawing birds at bay felt like she’d won a small battle.

World/National News

Bundle up: So it definitely looks like it’ll be a snowy & wet Thanksgiving weekend for much of the country.

Thanksgiving travel troubles are likely this week as two storms track across the nation, bringing a miserable mix of rain, snow and wind from coast to coast. ”We’ve got a very active pattern this week, with the potential for some travel disruptions,” National Weather Service meteorologist Bob Oravec said.
