The Manhattan Jaspers are the 18th team in our 2020 men’s college lacrosse schedule preview series and the second team from the MAAC. Manhattan finished 6-8 overall in 2019 and 2-5 in MAAC play. The Jaspers failed to qualify for the MAAC Tournament, but have improved their win-loss record every season since 2015.

Bryant announced its 2020 captains yesterday.

Bryant University head men’s lacrosse coach Mike Pressler has announced the Bulldogs’ four captains for the upcoming 2020 season. Redshirt-senior Jack Horan (San Rafael, Calif.), senior Jake Fiske (Poway, Calif.), senior Trevor Weingarten (Allendale, N.J.) and junior Marc O’Rourke (Hingham, Mass.) will serve as Bryant’s captains this spring as the Bulldogs begin their 21st season as an NCAA program. “I am thrilled to officially announce our four team captains, elected by their peers, for the 2020 season,” said Pressler. “All four are proven multi-year starters and veterans with incredible on-the-field experience.

Trevor Baptiste love the kids!

The latest edition of our new “MIC’d Up Monday” series connected us with Trevor Baptiste. Baptiste is a former star for the University of Denver men’s lacrosse team, and now plays professionally as a midfielder for Atlas Lacrosse Club of the newly-formed Premier Lacrosse League. He teamed up with Denver City Lax to put on a clinic for young players.
