GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, College Crosse Nation!! Thanks for making us a part of your day! Here’s everything you need to know for June 3, 2018.
What You Missed
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are in Spain for a 10-day trip.
Lacrosse The Nation
Speaking of the Irish, they just finished up participating in the Barcelona City Lacrosse Tournament.
They defeated England in overtime on a Bryan Costabile goal. The game was played BY THE OCEAN!

They’ll continue the day with a hike in the Pyrenees.
Here’s a recap of Day 3:
They also dropped a video recap of Day 2:

Back home, the Rochester Knighthawks forced a Game 3 in the NLL Cup Finals with a 13-8 win over the Saskatchewan Rush at home. The deciding game is next Saturday at 9:30 PM at Saskatchewan.
During halftime of that game, the San Diego Seals won the (rigged) coin toss over the Philadelphia Wings and will pick first in the NLL Entry Draft. The Wings will pick first in the NLL Expansion Draft.

Don’t worry, because the Wings play in Philadelphia, home of the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. San Diego doesn’t have a football team anymore. That it all.
Bob Chavez for the Daily Messenger writes that Ben Reeves is more than a leader, who got his start in Section V up in New York:
What many may have missed seeing is a kid who graduated Yale with a 3.89 grade-point average as a molecular, cellular developmental biology major. Three years ago, he worked at cancer research lab at Yale that focused on cancers in human blood. Two summers ago, he shadowed a pediatric oncologist at Strong Memorial Hospital while doing research on tumors.
And last summer, he declined a return invitation for the U.S. men’s national team because workouts for the team conflicted with the fall ball schedule at Yale. As captain of the Yale team, Reeves saw it as his responsibility to be with his teammates in New Haven. Even if it was just “fall ball” and not the spring season.
So it’s no wonder that Yale coach Andy Shay has said that the lacrosse player we see in Ben Reeves is just “5% of Ben Reeves.”
But the rest of the lacrosse world is getting to see the Ben Reeves that Section V has known about for much longer. In Thursday’s Tewaaraton spotlight, he gave a shout out to Pal-Mac coach Joe Hill to keep it real and respect his roots.
By his own admission, Reeves isn’t comfortable in spotlights like the one he was in Thursday night. But he’s got no one to blame but himself because of the numbers he puts up.
Our good friends at Anonymous Eagle are in love with Edward Lee’s ranking for their Marquette Golden Eagles.
In the MLL, Denver, New York, Boston, and Chesapeake all won.

The 8th annual Burger Brawl is today!
World News
Sounds like Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving Real Madrid.
Video of the Day
It’s not a video, but enjoy Weezer’s version of Africa, made famous by Toto.
