I’ve been very busy with graduation and my final lacrosse game and moving out this past week, so I haven’t been able to do a ton of updating or writing since.
So let’s do it now, shall we? We all know about the Men’s Division I field and how it shaped up this past weekend.

I’ll be at both quarterfinal sites this weekend and will bring you a ton of stuff from both. Ryan will be at the Hempstead quarterfinals. Make sure you’re following our Facebook and Twitter pages for all our fun content!
On to the other tournaments.
NCAA Men’s Division II
The First Round games happened on Saturday. All of the seeded teams won their matchups and moved on to the semifinals, which included Merrimack scoring 14 GOALS in the second quarter. 14. Wow.

NCAA Women’s Division I
Skyler has done a great job recapping the women’s tournament and will be pushing more content this weekend. We also had a women’s lax College Crossecast this week!
The women’s quarterfinals are all this Saturday. Here’s an updated look at the bracket:

MCLA Division I
For the first time ever as an NCAA or MCLA program, the Michigan State Spartans have won a lacrosse national championship, defeating Chapman 10-8 Saturday in Salt Lake City. Goaltender Kevin Boland was named tournament MVP after a 10 save performance.
MCLA Division II
STAND UP, CARSON WENTZ! The North Dakota State Bison won their first ever national championship on a double overtime goal by Ryan Stover to beat St. Thomas. Defenseman Evan Schraut was named tournament MVP.

Men’s NJCAA (JuCo)
Ho hum. Onondaga Community College won another national championship and capped off another undefeated season. They defeated Nassau CC 11-9. Russ Oakes scored a hat-trick, while Austin Staats also added a hat-trick as well as an assist, and Utah-bound James Sexton added a goal and four assists. On defense, Jerry Staats had two caused turnovers.
It’ll be interesting where Oakes and Austin Staats go for college, if they do choose that route. It’s been known that there’s a chance Austin could jump to the NLL. As for Jerry, a couple of sources have told me he’s headed for Syracuse.
Women’s NJCAA (JuCo)
Maybe more dominant than the OCC men’s team is the Monroe CC women’s squad, who finished their sixth straight undefeated season with a 20-13 win over Harford CC. That was their 95th consecutive win. They’ve won eight of the last nine national championships. That’s good.
NAIA
I don’t know a ton about the NAIA, especially since these schools are pretty small, but Reinhardt (Georgia) upset top-seed Madonna (Michigan) 8-7 in overtime for their second straight Lacrosse Invitational Title. Dillan Bousquet scored the game-winner for the Eagles.
