That was quick.
After we were left with our final three teams last week, two of them won on Saturday. And one didn’t. So we’re done.
The teams that are on to better things:
- Furman Paladins (defeated Richmond)
- High Point Panthers (defeated Bellarmine)
The NJIT Highlanders fell to the Saint Josephs Hawks Friday night, which means that with their 0-9 record, they are this year’s Reverse Survivor champion for the second year in a row!
Here’s the remaining schedule for the Highlanders:
- @ Fairfield (3/20)
- @ Wagner (3/24)
- vs. Manhattan (3/31)
- @ Monmouth (4/7)
- vs. Hampton (4/14)
- @ Georgetown (4/21)
- @ UMass Lowell (4/28)
The Highlanders should be competitive against Wagner and Manhattan in their next few games. Fairfield hasn’t looked good but the Stags should end up with a win.
I highly doubt NJIT beats Monmouth, Georgetown, or UMass Lowell, but they should be a lock to beat Hampton, who is still playing a transition schedule this season. It would be nice for the Highlanders to win against an actual Division I team however.
And thus ends this year’s competition. We wish the Highlanders the best of luck for the rest of the 2018 season, and we hope they can earn a win very soon!
Meanwhile, the Albany Great Danes are this year’s Survivor champion, being the last undefeated team in the country!
