Circle These Dates
- 2/23 (vs. Towson): Daniel Bucaro led the Hoya offense with four goals and two assists on 15 shots in a two-goal win last year over the Tigers. At the time, Towson was still finding out who they were, but with a good end to last season, they hope to be a tough team to play come 2019.
- 3/2 (at Hofstra): This game was cancelled last year due to Georgetown getting stuck in the middle of a snowstorm. I was really excited for this matchup, one that was going to see if the Hoyas were contenders or not after starting 4-0. That might be the case again this season.
- 3/30 (at Denver): Georgetown appeared to be Denver’s toughest challenge twice in the season. In their regular season meeting, the Hoyas led by two entering the fourth quarter but gave up the game’s final three goals to the Pioneers in the loss. They met a few weeks later in the Big East Championship game, which was a dominating 8-3 win.
- 4/9 (at Loyola): Pat Spencer and company will be deep in their push to the NCAA Tournament when both teams meet. A four-goal second quarter by the Greyhounds was the big moment in the game, as Spencer also put up a pair of goals and five assists. Jay Drapeau scored four times for Loyola.
- 4/13 (vs. Villanova): The Hoyas and Wildcats met twice last season, both games going in favor of Georgetown. Bucaro scored five goals in the regular season meeting, but the Hoyas didn’t miss his production that much in the Big East semifinal meeting with Craig Berge scoring four times. Villanova loses their leading scorers in Danny Seibel and Christian Cuccinello.
