Circle These Dates

  • 2/16 (at Hartford): Last year’s meeting was a high-scoring affair, with the Red Storm taking the 14-13 win over the Hawks. Joe Madsen had five goals and two assists for St. John’s, while Griffin Feiner had the same stat line for Hartford. Unfortunately for Hartford, Feiner and many of the Hawks from a year ago aren’t back.
  • 2/23 (at High Point): Despite the Red Storm winning this meeting by five goals, the game was much closer than what the score tells. St. John’s led by five with 11:02 left in the third quarter, but the Panthers scored five of the next six goals to cut the deficit to one. But the Red Storm recorded four goals in the final 9:55 of the game to take home the win.
  • 3/12 (at Hofstra): A surprise win for St. John’s came at home against in-state rival Hofstra. Down two in the final quarter, the Red Storm scored twice in a span of 1:17 and got a Colin Duffy goal with three seconds left in the game to steal a victory over the Pride.
  • 4/2 (vs. Stony Brook): Another tight contest against a fellow New York program resulted in the Seawolves taking home the win a year ago. Despite three goals from Mike Madsen, Stony Brook scored three of the game’s final four goals to get the victory.
  • 4/6 (at Marquette): This was St. John’s closest Big East game last season. The Red Storm had a two-goal lead with 8:36 to go in the game. But the Golden Eagles recorded three goals to end the game, including a John Wagner goal with 32 seconds remaining. Marquette is always a tough team to play against.
