Marquette Unveils 2018 Schedule

The Marquette Golden Eagles are the first Division I team to unveil their 2018 schedule. The back-to-back Big East champions look to win their third straight conference crown with goalie Cole Blazer and FOGO Zachary Melillo back.

The Golden Eagles have three scrimmages before the regular season. They kick things off against Cleveland State on January 27, followed by Johns Hopkins on February 3, and Penn a week later.

Just like last year, the regular season begins February 17 against Jacksonville in Milwaukee before traveling to Detroit to take on Detroit Mercy a week later.

March kicks off with the annual Midwest Lacrosse Classic in Detroit. The Golden Eagles take on national runner-up Ohio State March 2, followed two days later by Bellarmine. Marquette heads back home on March 10 to take on Robert Morris, before heading to Ann Arbor on the 17th to take on Michigan. Last year, the two teams met for a scrimmage at Michigan in January. Four of Marquette’s next five games are at home, including their Big East opener against Georgetown on the 24th, before hosting Villanova on the 31st.

April begins with three games in eight days for the Golden Eagles. A road meeting against St. John’s kicks things off, followed by Notre Dame four days later in Milwaukee, before their Senior Day game on April 14 against Providence in a rematch of last year’s Big East championship. The season ends with road games against Duke on the 21st and Denver a week later.

The Golden Eagles also announced their fall ball slate at Sequoia High School in Redwood City, California. They’ll take on Team Scotland on October 21, followed by Utah the next day.
