GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, College Crosse Nation!! Thanks for making us a part of your day! Here are your links for June 26, 2017.

College Crosse News.

Here’s Chris’ latest MLL Rookie post.

Week 10 of the Major League Lacrosse season just ended. Let’s check in with how some of the recent NCAA graduates have done in the five games played this week!

Wheels up: Speaking of our boy, Chris, his flight to Nebraska for the College World Series is today!

Lots of think pieces on helmets in women's lax in response to last week's @AP post. Here's a good one from Scranton.

When Heintzelman, a rising senior at King’s College, was called up to the front of her kinesiology class recently to list the muscles of the leg, she froze at the whiteboard. Even that list, usually a piece of cake for someone like her studying exercise science, is part of what escapes her memory.

It’s all part of Heintzelman’s everyday life these days.

Following six concussions, Heintzelman has permanently lost peripheral vision in her left eye and also has a weakened short-term memory, at least for the time being, she said.

Steve Carrell said he grew a mustache in HS so that he'd look more threatening on the lacrosse field.

"I wanted to look like Magnum PI," Carell teased. "I actually grew a moustache in high school because I played Lacrosse and I thought it'd make me look more threatening.

"And it didn't really. It just made me look like a porn star."

"A porn performer, not a star," Graham corrected him. "It's like, 'He was in it but he wasn't the star'."

Here’s a great photo gallery from the Baltimore Sun featuring quartet of lacrosse national champions from Catonsville, MD.

Friend of the blog Scott Hensley with a great conversation on the Inside Lacrosse podcast. Scott chopped it up with Terry Foy about journalism in lacrosse.

What’s Up, Philly?

South Jersey is getting a new convenience store competitor to Wawa soon - Royal Farms.

Driving along Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill the other day, I spotted a sign of things to come. Wawa!

The ubiquitous convenience-store chain’s seventh Cherry Hill location will be built between Route 70 and Chapel Avenue, across from the Market Place at Garden State Park and within two miles of two other Wawas that have opened in the township since 2013. That’s not counting the uber-busy Wawa at the “point” of Routes 38 and 70, just over the border in Pennsauken. Which has two other Wawas. More are planned in other local towns, including in Brooklawn, on a Route 130 site currently occupied by the Metro Diner.

But the imminent local debut of the Royal Farms chain — stores are under construction or planned in Magnolia, Gloucester City, Bellmawr, and East Greenwich — has spawned headlines about a looming clash of these “c-store” titans in the competitive, but desirable, South Jersey market.

Tim Tebow’s getting a promotion!!!

The New York Mets are promoting Tim Tebow from low-A ball to St. Lucie of the high-A League. He batted .222 with three home runs, 23 RBIs, a .311 on-base percentage and a .340 slugging percentage with 69 strikeouts and 23 walks in 212 at-bats for the Columbia Fireflies. Those aren't numbers that usually lead to a promotion. "For me, it's not something I have to answer," Tebow said. "There's a lot smarter, wiser people than me that make those decisions. I just try and show up and play hard every day."

Jordan Spieth’s crushed this bunker shot to win Travelers and then pulled off an impressive bump with his caddie.
