GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, College Crosse Nation!! Thanks for making us a part of your day! Here are your links for May 15, 2017.

What You Missed

Saturday’s games didn’t provide us with a ton of drama, except for the Albany game, which I was at.

Sunday Recaps

I didn’t get a chance to do a Roundup from yesterday’s games since I was a little busy doing team stuff for Syracuse (who won by a goal) and also celebrating the win until like, five in the morning. I somehow managed to top my 3:30 bedtime with something even worse. The sun was starting to rise too. Anyways besides my personal life, let’s get to the scoreboard.

The quarterfinals are set:

The Saturday games are at Hofstra on ESPNU, the Sunday games are at Delaware (WAWA COUNTRY) on ESPN2.

Here’s some highlights and press conferences from some of the games on Sunday:

Game 4: Albany 15, North Carolina 12

A record crowd on a rainy night saw the Great Danes jump out to an 11 goal halftime lead and then hold off a valiant Tar Heel run. It was Albany's fourth playoff win all-time. The Heels finish at 8-8. Does offensive coordinator Dave Metzbower become the next coach at Delaware? This staff missed assistants Brian Holman (Utah) and Chris Fiefs (Vermont) and may look different again in 2018.

Albany was a world beater in the first 30 minutes. Then after halftime they didn't scored for over 24 minutes. Goalie JD Colarusso stood tall as the feces was hitting the fan. Thank you Kyle McClancy and Adam Osika for showing the world what a real midfielder looks like. And to the fans who braved the steady downpour all day, well done, hope to see you at Delaware and perhaps Boston.

Albany went 23-of-30 from the X and yet only won by three goals. Albany is a good team with a great face-off man. Beating the Danes is all about dealing with FOGO TD Ierlan.

We saw the highs and lows of my Twitter last night. First, the low, realizing that autocorrect is the work of the devil.

But hey, we got a high in there, thanks to our homie Evan Molloy and John Wall!

In the NJCAA (JuCo) title game, Onondaga Community College edged Howard Community College with a 15-14 win for their 10th national championship.

Inside Lacrosse released their inaugural Media All-Americans Teams, which is a very smart move to do. We had a vote as well, but we’ll save that for another post where we’ll also show you our personal AAs.

Philly Jawns

The annual Race for the Cure was held yesterday.

World News

Actor Powers Boothe passed away at the age of 68.
