The Syracuse Orange lost to the North Carolina Tar Heels in the women’s ACC lacrosse championship, 18-11, on Sunday afternoon. They probably weren’t happy with the result, as it was the second straight season the team fell to the Tar Heels in the ACC title game.
But there was a silver lining as the team began to travel back to Charlotte. Yes, Charlotte is going in the opposite direction of where Syracuse is, but I guess there weren’t any commercial flights from Richmond to Central New York?
Anyway, NASCAR was also in Richmond for the Toyota Owners 400 and Fox Sports was broadcasting the race. NASCAR has offices in Charlotte, and there’s also a Fox Sports NASCAR studio in the city. Fox Sports personality Chris Myers was on the flight, probably heading down there for NASCAR programs.
That’s when some of the Cuse players recognized Myers.
Currently sitting behind @The_ChrisMyers on our flight to charlotte, NC....I'd say this flight is pretty (char)LIT

He did sign some autographs for the team and became a legend on the flight.

NASCAR Hall of Fame driver and current Motor Racing Network radio analyst Rusty Wallace was also on the flight, but I guess he didn’t show love.
@The_ChrisMyers And @RustyWallace !!! Oh yeah, this is definitely a lit flight

Myers followed the Cuse women’s lacrosse Twitter account, but the team didn’t follow Myers back...yet.
