GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, College Crosse Nation!! Thanks for making us a part of your day! Here are your links for April 4, 2017.
What You Missed
This week’s Aggregation is nearly unanimous with who should be No. 1 and No. 2.
Despite the loss, Notre Dame is still No. 1 in the NCAA’s RPI rankings.
Meanwhile in out Top 20, our No. 1 is split between Syracuse and Penn State.
Penn State and Duke were big victors on Sunday night.
Lacrosse The Nation
First, we want to send our condolences to the family of Zed Williams on his loss this past weekend.
We want to extend our thoughts and condolences to Zed Williams and his family in regards to the passing of his father, Dan, on Friday.

Let’s get to this Pitt news. The Panthers officially introduced Heather Lyke as their new athletics director back on March 20. Nothing big for lacrosse, right? Well, as Anson Whaley of Cardiac Hill writes, you might be wrong.
Finally, keep this as food for thought. But while Pitt doesn't have a scholarship lacrosse program right now, despite being in the ACC where that sport is played, you wonder if/when that's coming. As mentioned last year, Pitt is building a domed facility for lacrosse (recreational) and the soccer teams. One thing I hadn't heard talked about much was the fact that Lyke was the first female Chair of the Men's NCAA Lacrosse committee. I would be interested to know more about her ties to that sport and if that was something that stood out to Pitt. Barnes previously said the school wasn't interested in adding more scholarship sports right now but, eventually, adding lacrosse just makes sense.
She was the Chair of the Men’s Lacrosse committee back in 2014, but her background in a spring sport is mainly in softball. She played it while as a student at the University of Michigan and was also an analyst for Ohio State’s softball games while she was working with the Buckeyes. She may have been able to start at least a men’s, if not women’s, lacrosse program while at Eastern Michigan, but it never happened.
And then we get this on March 31, but it got picked up last night.
Per sources, new AD Lyke is actively looking to add a D1 Lacrosse team to Pitt and is working with another ACC school on the matter.

Now we don’t know who this other ACC school is yet. Could it be Virginia Tech? Georgia Tech? NC State? Boston College? I’ve also never heard of the guy previously, but he is followed by some Eagles reporters, including NLL Source God John Barchard, and it’s pretty much because he’s an Eagles fan. So go Birds.
After it got picked up, Justin reacted accordingly.
A lacrosse blog found my Pitt+lacrosse tweet from 3 days ago & people are excited. I figure if no one has refuted it yet, sources are good.

And then...
Oh snap, picking up steam. I'm gonna look like an idiot if people are wrong

Plus, from our friends at 412 Lax (which is a Pittsburgh-based lacrosse blog), they don’t seem to be that optimistic.
Likely not interested in adding lacrosse https://t.co/nNzmdFTCNi

So take what you want from this, he could be right and he could look like a savage, or it could be wrong and it won’t matter for him and for us because we probably won’t even remember about it happening.
Anyway, let’s get to the conference honors for this week:
