But from someone that really wanted to be there but had other priorities, Philly put on a show. The city and the fans were spectacular, and showed why we’re the best city and have the best fans in the entire world. I was in our hotel lobby after we lost to UNC watching us pick Rasul Douglas in the third round and got goosebumps when “Fly Eagles Fly” was played, and there was still a large contingency of people there at 11:30 at night. I wanted to be a part of that, and I was in spirit (I did sing along). You can take me out of Philly, but you can’t take the Philly out of me. See you soon, beautiful!
Oh, and if drafts couldn’t get any better, THE PHILADELPHIA FLYERS GOT THE SECOND OVERALL PICK IN THE NHL DRAFT!
