Games To Watch.
(Ed. Note: Pretty much every game on tap today is a must-watch event.)
BU vs. Army: BU was up 10-9 with 5 minutes to play back in their April 8th game versus the Black Knights. BU’s goalie Christian Carson-Banister had 16 saves in that game, and the Terriers played well, but it wasn’t enough as BU gave up 2 late goals to Army to lose 11-10.
Despite their previous loss to Army, I have a feeling BU will bounce back to win this one. The Terriers went on to beat Loyola, Holy Cross, & Lehigh, since that game, and haven’t shown the April swoon that other BU squads have shown in previous years. I think BU is going to beat Army today to get to the Patriot League championship game on Sunday.
Notre Dame vs. Duke: Duke’s looked really good of late. Other than their loss to Syracuse back on March 25th, the Blue Devils haven’t lost a game since February 18th to Denver. Notre Dame’s still one of the top 6-8 teams in the country, but since their win over Maryland on March 4th, the Fighting Irish have gone 4-3, which includes an OT win over UVA. Notre Dame’s seems to have straighten things out after their 2-game losing streak in early April, but a win tonight at Duke (they lost 11-8 to Duke in Durham on April 8th) will really demonstrate that they are still a title contender this year. I think Notre Dame wins this one tonight to advance to the ACC Tournament.
Syracuse vs. North Carolina: Syracuse pulled out an OT winner the last time these two faced off (March 15th) and I have a feeling this one will also be a closely fought affair. I predict the Orange will win again in OT over the Heels and end UNC’s season.
Fun fact: @CuseMLAX is 3-0 in #WhitneyInOT games. This one courtesy of @SergioSalcido48: pic.twitter.com/kPL3IMmpJ3

Hoya wrote two great posts on the ACC Tournament and the Patriot League Tournament that you all should read.
BOSS Desko and some of his troops give their thoughts about UNC/the ACC Tournament.
2) Graham Savio’s faceoffs. The Loyola senior has struggled in his past two starts. He won only 40 percent of his draws (10 of 25) and picked up six ground balls in a 12-11 overtime loss at now-No. 18 Boston University on April 15. Then he won 47.8 percent (11 of 23) and scooped up five loose balls against Army. Not the kind of efficiency one would expect from a faceoff specialist ranked 14th in Division I in percentage (58.7 on 179-for-305) and 12th in ground balls per game (7.1), but Toomey’s faith in Savio has not wavered.
From walk-on to BALLER. Great Syracuse video on how Sergio Salcido transformed himself into a starter and leader for the Orange.
Nice video by Michigan.
