What’s going on, everyone?! We have a fun day today with 29 games on the schedule (Ed. Note: Navy vs. Holy Cross game was pushed to April 2nd due to a severe weather advisory for today). We have 6 games in the 12:00 hour, and 13 games in the 1:00 hour, so the fun really gets going early on this afternoon.

No College Crosse Game Day stream today as The Boy Chris is in Indiana for today’s Syracuse vs. Notre Dame game. The Game Day stream will be combined with Chris’ usual pregame show around 11:30 a.m. Here’s Chris’ Power Rankings for this week to get you started until then.

Below is today’s Big Board. Clicking on the team name will take you to that team’s homepage. Clicking on the Stream cell will take you to the broadcast of that game, while the Live Stats cell will take you to the live stats of that game. Cells with $$ signs in them indicate streams that require a subscription or a pay wall. Everything else should be free or on your basic ESPN plan. Let’s go to the Big Board!!

Games To Watch.

Syracuse vs. Notre Dame: This is the biggest game of the day. #1 Notre Dame hosts #4 Syracuse in what should be a very exciting game. I’ve had Notre Dame as my #1 team for the last couple weeks but I think Syracuse maybe the hottest team in the country. The Orange find a way to win these close games and I think that trend continues today in South Bend.

Army vs. Bucknell: Army is 8-1 on the season with its only loss being to Rutgers back in February. The Black Knights have a very stingy defense, which has only given up 10 or more goals twice this season. This should be a pretty winnable game for Army, except that Bucknell has been playing a lot better lately. Indeed, the Bison won its last two Patriot League games versus two of the Patriot League’s best teams, BU & Loyola. Army should be able to win this game but I would not be surprised if Bucknell came away with the upset today.

Penn vs. Yale: Ben Reeves is close to 100% and that’s very good news for Yale fans. The Bull Dogs won a big game last weekend over Princeton and are now 2-0 in the Ivy League. A win today would give the Elis the early edge for the #1 seed in the Ivy League tournament.

Virginia vs. Richmond: I realize that UVA has a couple more ACC games left on its regular season schedule, but I see this game as a must-win for the Cavs if they really want a shot at an at-large bid this year. UVA’s best win this season (and its only win versus a team with a .500 or above record in 2017) is against Loyola; a win versus the Spiders would give Virginia a solid top 20 RPI win and bolster their at-large resume. If Virginia is going to get into The Big BBQ 2017 in May, they are going to have to demonstrate that they are at least the best team in their state today.

Maryland vs. Michigan: This game should not pose a big challenge for Maryland, especially after their dominating win versus UNC last weekend. However, I would still be wary of this one if I were a Terps fan. This could very well be a trap game for Maryland as they are coming off the big emotional win over UNC last weekend. Michigan is a pretty solid team. Moreover, the Wolverines come into this game on a 4-game win streak and almost pulled the upset over Maryland last year in Ann Arbor. Again, Maryland should win this game, but it could be a lot closer than many expect.
