ORIGINAL STORY:
Well well well, look what we have here, according to ESPN Rochester back on Tuesday:
ESPN Rochester has learned there is a local ownership group that is attempting to purchase @RattlersLax and keep team in Rochester

Exactly one week ago, Jack Goods set off the dominos about the Rattlers possibly relocating from Rochester to Dallas. Logos and names were registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
MLL commissioner David Gross said the registering of logos and trademarks isn’t something new.
“The potential option of having the Rattlers in Dallas has been openly discussed for a couple of years now,” Gross stated. “As with keeping all potential options open we filed for a trademark, have obtained a domain name and social media handles. This is not the first time the league has done this as a way to keep our potential options from being encumbered.”
Since then, there’s been no indication on who the local ownership group might be and how much they are willing to purchase the team. The Rattlers are owned by New Balance and chairman Jim Davis. There’s also no word on if there is an ownership group in Dallas that is interested in purchasing the team and moving the team to the state of Texas.
Why would I not be surprised if the Dallas Rattlers was just a ploy

Nevertheless, there’s some hope in Rochester for now:
Hope this happens. Players and coaching staff in Rochester deserve it. https://t.co/kZ8VmsA8eD
