College Lacrosse Schedule for April 25, 2014

Links to streams, live stats, and more. Today is some kind of wonderful.

Jeff Zelevansky

There is no Russian dashboard cam .gif/video today. That's because today is beyond democratic: There are four conference tournament games this evening, pushing four teams closer to the NCAA Tournament and the opportunity to crush skulls as they attempt to meet their manifest destiny; there are two win-and-you're-in-your-conference-tournament games tonight, opportunities to climb the social ladder and become an industrial magnate. Today is America, people, and it's going to kick total ass:

Anyway, there are a bunch of games today. Here are your three highlights:

  • ACC Tournament: Have you seen the special edition of THE FACEOFF for the ACC Tournament? No? Fix that! Have you read our hyper-intelligent preview of the ACC Tournament? No? Fix that! Of the four teams playing today, Notre Dame has the most on the line at PPL Park: A win alleviates some of the concerns about the Irish as an at-large candidate for The Big Barbecue (but it may not lock Notre Dame in without question); a loss throws the Irish into a situation where they must beat Army next week in order to remain eligible for consideration. All eyes are on Notre Dame tonight to see how the Irish perform in a pressure-fueled situation.
  • Patriot League Tournament: Have you seen the special edition of THE FACEOFF for the Patriot League Tournament? No? Fix that! Have you read our hyper-intelligent preview of the Patriot League Tournament? No? Fix that! The best game of the day could be the league's nightcap tonight at Ridley: Army and Lehigh will throw hands at each other in what could be an amazing defensive display. I'm generally inclined toward offensive-oriented showcases, but Black Knights-Mountain Hawks could be the kind of defensive masterpiece that makes you wonder whether Kafka was on to something and not just making up nonsense.
  • Hartford at Stony Brook // Delaware at Massachusetts: It's pretty simple for these four teams: Win and a postseason existence becomes a reality; lose and it's time to remove personal items from lockers. I like Hartford and Massachusetts in these spots (it's kind of nuts that the Minutemen went from squarely within the heart of the top 20 earlier in the year and are now fighting for a conference tournament invitation), but what the hell do I know?

Here's today's full schedule with links to things so that you can monitor the carnage:
