Is It Time To Stop Complaining Yet?
The new rules have been out for a while now, were in use for most teams all fall, and have even been fully described in the new 2013 Men’s College Lacrosse Rule Book! While the impacts have been relatively minor, they have also been noticeable. However, they have not intrinsically changed the game we love all that much, as so many many seemed to fear.

Landon Lacrosse Class of 2013 Signing Day
National powerhouse Landon School, coached by Robinson Bordley, has announced the signing of nine Seniors that will be playing at the DI level. Landon School is a private, nonsectarian, college preparatory school for boys in grades 3-12, with an enrollment of approximately 683 students. The school, which plays in the Interstate Athletic Conference, sits on 75 acres in Bethesda, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. A majority of the great players that graduate Landon come through the lower school program.

NCAA Stick Rules Mostly Affects Shooting
While I do agree with Connor in his assessment of the ‘black hole’ pockets and their prevalence in the modern NCAA game, I don’t think this is the most influential affect of the rule changes. Certainly, ‘black hole’ pockets will be prevented from occurring quite as much, but, as mentioned by Connor, this applies to a uniquely athletic player; this athletic player is also becoming more prevalent in modern NCAA lacrosse, but it is certainly not the majority, at least offensively, and I really believe that shooting, overall, will be the most affected part of NCAA lacrosse, which, inherently, means that offense as we know it, in the present, will change.

Mids to Face Holy Cross at The Inaugural Metropolitan Lacrosse Classic
The Navy men's lacrosse team will face Patriot League foe Holy Cross at Citi Field in the New York City borough of Queens on Sunday, March 17 in the inaugural Metropolitan Lacrosse Classic it was announced by the New York Mets on Monday evening. The Metropolitan Lacrosse Classic will feature Michigan vs. Colgate in the opener at 1:05 pm, followed by the Mids and Crusaders at 4:05 pm. ESPNU will carry the Michigan-Colgate contest, while the Navy-Holy Cross game will be available on ESPN3.

Notebook: Georgetown Prep sophomore Altemus commits to Bucknell
Georgetown Prep sophomore goalie Joey Altemus has committed to the admissions process at Bucknell, according to Inside Lacrosse. Last summer he was selected to the Maryland Freestate Games 2014/15 Top 44 team.
