Lacrosse the Internet: March 21, 2013

I'm done with superfluous vowels. Stop screwing up my existence, Canada.

This is obviously your favorite site, but other people actually write important stuff sometimes. Now is that sometimes.

Player Blog: Loyola's Runkel at Mile High
Last week, Loyola prepared to face the Air Force Academy out in Denver for the Mile High Classic.

Bellarmine's Roy Best Player You've Never Seen
With conference play heating up and the first month of the regular season in the rearview mirror, time to take stock of some Division I developments.

Player Impact Ratings for D1-D3 for the 2013 Lacrosse Season
Who's the best player at attack in the men's or women's college ranks? In more seasons than not, questions like that generate considerable debate. Assessments of players - including those involved in the selection of All-Americans - tend to be quite subjective. On the other hand, looking at traditional individual player statistics in isolation can be misleading.

Conference Player Awards in Division I for March 18th
Jordan Wolf apparently won a Grammy. Weird.

Michigan 7, Colgate 10
Michigan has played above their collective head in three straight games… does that just mean they’re a lot better by this point? That seems to be the case. There will surely be hiccups down the road, but this young team has grown up a lot during Year Two.

Detroit 8, Marist 11
The short-handed Titans actually put up a bit more fight than I thought they would (the opposite of what happened when they lost their best offensive threat last year), but didn’t manage to pull an upset win against Marist. This is going to shape up to be a really tough year unless the team rallies.

Today's beats: How about a little Harry Connick, Jr. this morning? And with Ellis Marsalis? Kaboom!
