Inside Lacrosse: Cornell Fills Offensive Coordinator Position with Matt Kerwick

John Jiloty is reporting that Cornell is set to hire former Georgetown assistant Matt Kerwick to fill the assistantship void created by Matt Rewkowski leaving to join Kevin Warne at Georgetown. Kerwick was let go from the Hoyas program after getting busted for a DUI earlier this year. Money quote: "Kerwick, whose offensive acumen is highly regarded in lacrosse coaching circles, steps in at Cornell under head coach Ben DeLuca for 2011 Enners and Turnbull Award winner Rob Pannell's final season with the Big Red. The high-scoring attackman is spending his fall away from campus before returning for a fifth spring. Rewkowski had served as Cornell's offensive coordinator for the past two seasons, leading the Big Red offense to national rankings of No. 2 in 2011 and No. 9 last year."
