2012-13 Men's Lacrosse Blog -- Entry 5
As the team is excited in getting ready for Thanksgiving break, it also reminds us of where we are in the semester both academically and athletically. Academically, we start to focus on the last of our regular tests and papers and prepare for our final tests shortly after we get back from our much-needed Thanksgiving break. At this point in the semester athletically, we are still working hard everyday - whether it's in the weight room, on the field, on the track, or out doing community service.

NLI Signing Period '12: Big East Signing Analysis
The National Letter Intent period began yesterday and will be running until the 21st. In honor of a big recruiting week, we'll be posting conference breakdowns throughout, touching on ACC yesterday with Ivy League, CAA and 'Best of the Rest' to follow.

Virginia Lacrosse Game Gear
Last year Little Brother of War Entertainment (LBOWE) produced a short series on UVA lacrosse “There and Back”. “There and Back” aired on ESPNU giving the world a behind the scenes look at what goes into making the Wahoos a National Championship contender year after year. Some segments included the very popular Dirty Bird Gang. LBOWE just uploaded a new video featuring the players game gear. Players are interviewed detailing just how expansive their collection of helmets and cleats have grown over just one season.

Niskayuna boys' lacrosse coach Mike Vorgang is no stranger to seeing his players land at elite Division I programs. He watched five of his senior stars sign Wednesday, plus also previously had sophomore Aidan O'Brien make an oral commitment to North Carolina. The latest Niskayuna player to make an oral commitment is sophomore midfielder John Pendergast, who decided to play his Division I college lacrosse for coach John Danowski at Duke University.

Darien's Gesualdi is headed to Hobart to play lacrosse and football
The senior midfielder who helped Darien capture its seventh Connecticut Class M state title in the last eight years this past spring plans on playing both lacrosse and football in college.

Loyola-Air Force game moved to Mile High Classic; Independence Classic unveiled
The Loyola men's lacrosse game next season against Air Force will be part of the Whitman's Sampler Mile High Classic on Saturday, March 16, Inside Lacrosse announced Thursday.
