Congrats to Matt Poskay as he has been named the next head coach at Wagner University.
I know Glaude will say nothing can save Wagner but Poskay is a step in the right direction. And look at it this way, Wanger can only go up from here, right?
Poskay was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2009 and has been fighting the disease since. Incredibly, Poskay battled the disease and led the MLL with 52 points in 2010.
""Lacrosse-wise and athletically, they're making the turn in a right direction with some recent hires," Poskay says. "It's in a great location. Student-athletes that want to come experience the New York City lifestyle but be a little bit removed, this is the right fit." (via insidelacrosse.com)
Poskay is the name that is needed with a program like Wagner, that has had a hard time recruiting top tier talent. A solid resume and reputation in the sport, Poskay has ties to his alma mater and his roots in New Jersey.
